Cyrus was a delight to know and was beloved by everyone around the baseball program. It was a serious blow to learn about these circumstances. As umpires we always enjoyed our exchanges with him, and despite not knowing him away from baseball, he was absolutely an extraordinary young man with a fantastic personality.

I was in shock when I read this...I worked with his Mom for three years..and just recently spoke to her. I know how much she loved him and how proud she was. My heart is with his entire family.

I worked with cyrus and the event managemant staff and even took legal study classes with him, he was a great guy, a great person and will deeply be missed by all those he has come across. He was one of those people who you meet one time and you never forget his name and the conversation about sports because he loved sports.

Cyrus was a great guy. He always seemed like an easy going, happy person. He must have been going through some incredibly hard times to do this to himself. I haven't stopped thinking about him since I heard the bad news. My heart goes out to those who knew him well. This has been truly tragic for everyone who's ever met Cyrus. Thank you for publishing this article.
